Job Description
We are a furniture manufacturing business based in Centurion looking for an experienced Upholstery Seamstress/Stitcher to join our team. The successful candidate must have 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in furniture or upholstery manufacturing.
The position involves sewing and stitching upholstery fabrics and materials for sofas and other upholstered furniture. The candidate must be able to work accurately, meet production deadlines and maintain a high standard of workmanship.
Requirements
2–3 years’ experience as an upholstery seamstress/stitcher.
Experience with industrial sewing machines.
Experience working with upholstery fabrics.
Good knowledge of sewing techniques and fabric handling.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good attention to detail and quality.
Reliable, punctual and able to meet deadlines.
Furniture/upholstery manufacturing experience will be an advantage.
Benefits
Contract – Flexible / production-based
The seamstress works 2–3 days per week, depending on the company production requirements.
