The South African Furniture Initiative (SAFI) is proud to have received the 2025 Industry Partner Award from the Kitchen Specialists Association (KSA) – a recognition that celebrates collaboration and shared purpose within South Africa’s furniture and design community.
Over the past year, SAFI has strengthened its role as a key advocate for the sector, working with the dtic, the Furniture Industry Master Plan (FIMP), and key partners such as Wesgro, International Trade Administration Commission of South Africa (ITAC) and the South Africa
Receiver of Revenue (SARS) to promote fair trade, drive localisation, and expand export opportunities. SAFI also continues to champion transformation through skills development, artisan recognition, and small-business empowerment across all provinces.
“This recognition from the KSA means so much to us,” says Lynn Adonis, SAFI’s Administrator and Qualifications Manager. “It reflects the power of collaboration and the belief our partners and stakeholders continue to show in SAFI’s mission to build a strong, sustainable furniture industry.”
The award acknowledges SAFI’s commitment to driving growth, visibility and sustainability, both locally and globally, while reinforcing the organisation’s dedication to fostering unity and excellence across the furniture manufacturing value chain.
